1. Who this applies to
This Acceptable Use Policy applies to everyone who uses a service operated by TechGPT Ltd — visitors to our websites, users of our applications, and clients and their end users where we host a service on their behalf. Breaching it is a breach of our Terms of Service.
2. Prohibited content
You must not use our services to create, upload, store, transmit or link to material that:
- Is unlawful under the law of England and Wales or any other applicable jurisdiction;
- Sexually exploits or abuses children in any way, or sexualises a minor;
- Incites, promotes or facilitates violence, terrorism or self-harm;
- Harasses, bullies, threatens or stalks any person;
- Incites hatred against a group on the basis of a protected characteristic;
- Is defamatory, obscene or grossly offensive;
- Infringes copyright, trade marks, patents, database rights, trade secrets or any other intellectual property right;
- Discloses another person's private information without their consent, including personal contact details or identity documents;
- Is deliberately deceptive — fraudulent offers, phishing, fake reviews, fabricated records, or impersonation of a real person or organisation;
- Constitutes unsolicited bulk commercial messaging.
3. Prohibited conduct
You must not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, system, network or data;
- Probe, scan or test the security of our systems without prior written authorisation — report vulnerabilities responsibly through our Security page instead;
- Introduce malware, ransomware, worms, logic bombs or other harmful code;
- Conduct or facilitate a denial-of-service attack, or otherwise deliberately degrade service for others;
- Circumvent authentication, rate limits, usage quotas or geographic restrictions;
- Scrape or crawl at a rate that burdens our infrastructure, or in breach of our
robots.txt; - Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble our software, except where that restriction is unenforceable by law;
- Resell or sublicense access without our written agreement;
- Use our services to build a directly competing product;
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation, or forge headers to disguise the origin of content.
4. AI feature restrictions
Where a service includes AI-powered features, you must not use them to:
- Generate content prohibited by section 2;
- Produce material that impersonates a real person or organisation in a deceptive way, including synthetic voice or likeness without consent;
- Generate deliberate misinformation on matters of health, safety, elections or public emergencies;
- Attempt to extract system prompts, model weights, training data or other confidential material;
- Deliberately circumvent safety filters or moderation controls;
- Generate code intended to cause harm, gain unauthorised access, or evade detection for a malicious purpose;
- Make automated decisions about individuals with legal or similarly significant effects without meaningful human review.
5. Fair and reasonable use
Where a plan is described as unlimited, that is subject to fair use. Use that is materially disproportionate to comparable customers — extreme storage consumption, sustained automated traffic, or resource use that degrades the service for others — may be rate-limited or moved to a plan that reflects it. We will contact you before taking action wherever practical.
6. Reporting a breach
If you see something on one of our services that breaches this policy, report it to legal@techgptltd.com. Include the URL or in-app location, a description of the problem, and the date and time you saw it. Reports of child sexual abuse material are actioned immediately and reported to the appropriate authorities.
To report a security vulnerability, use security@techgptltd.com and see our Security page.
7. How we enforce this policy
Where we determine that this policy has been breached, we may take any of the following steps, depending on the seriousness and whether it is repeated:
- Issue a warning and ask you to correct the problem;
- Remove or restrict access to the offending content;
- Apply rate limits or restrict specific features;
- Suspend the account temporarily;
- Terminate the account permanently and refuse future service;
- Disclose relevant information to law enforcement where the law requires it or a serious crime is involved;
- Take legal action to recover losses caused by the breach.
We aim to act proportionately and to give notice where it is safe and practical to do so. Immediate action without notice is reserved for serious harm, illegality, or active risk to other users or our systems.
8. Appeals
If your account or content has been actioned and you believe we got it wrong, email legal@techgptltd.com with the subject "Enforcement appeal", the account concerned, and why you think the decision was mistaken. A person who was not involved in the original decision will review it, and we aim to respond within 10 business days.
9. Changes
We may update this policy as our services and the legal landscape change. The current version is always the one published here, with the date shown at the top.
